How to make an apple out of paper. Modular origami apple diagram Origami apple from modules diagram

You can make a three-dimensional apple from strips of red paper. Let's add only a center, a branch and a leaf of paper of other colors. If you don't have red paper to create an apple, then replace that color with yellow, green or pink.

Necessary materials:

  • double-sided paper in red, brown and green;
  • stapler and staples for it;
  • ruler;
  • scissors;
  • pencil;
  • glue.

Stages of making a voluminous apple:

1. First we will make the base of the apple. It will be brown. To make it, take paper of a suitable color and cut out a rectangle 8.5 x 4.5 cm.

2. Roll the cut out rectangle into a tube. We secure the edges with a stapler with two clicks on the tool.

3. Now let's move on to working out the appearance of the apple. Let's make it from strips. We measure out a strip with the proportions of 11 x 1.5 cm on double-sided red paper. Cut it out.

4. You will only need ten strips of this size. So we cut out nine more.

5. Using a pencil, we twist the strips so that they look great on the craft.

6. Apply glue to both edges of the strip. Attach to the inside of the brown tube.

7. Then glue the second strip next to it.

8. Thus, we glue the strips in a circle next to each other.

9. Now take another strip and glue it between the first two. This will close the gap and give our apple additional volume.

10. We also seal the remaining gaps between the stripes.

11. Cut out a small leaf from green paper, and a twig from brown paper.

12. Glue the branch to the inside of the craft. We twist the leaf and apply glue to one end, which will be placed near the brown twig.

A voluminous apple made of colored paper is absolutely ready and can decorate any corner of your room or holiday table.

In our article we will look at a method for making an apple from paper using the papier-mâché technique. Imitations of fruit made in this way can serve as an excellent decorative table decoration. In addition, making imitation fruits using this method does not require special artistic and sculptural skills. After all, the contours of the craft are made using real, fresh fruits. You just need a little patience and effort and everything will work out. So, less words, more action. Let's get started..

Making an apple from paper

To make an apple from paper using the papier-mâché technique, we will need: a medium-sized apple of the correct shape, PVA glue, a brush, a sheet of newspaper, paper napkins, a stationery knife, a primer for wood, paints, and a transparent quick-drying varnish.

For the first layer of papier-mâché we will use newspaper. We tear the newspaper sheet into small pieces and soak them in water.

Grease the apple with rich cream. This is necessary for the subsequent free removal of the paper outline from the apple.

We cover the entire surface of the apple with wet newspaper pieces, making sure that they lie as evenly as possible, without deformations or protrusions.

Then we cover the apple with another layer of napkins.

And again we paste over pieces of newspaper, alternating layers.

Glued with three layers of paper - two newspaper, and one inner, from a napkin, the apple is left to dry for several hours.

Then, using a brush and glue, apply several more layers of napkins.

And, as a final, fixing layer, we apply a layer of newspaper.

Layers of papier-mâché will dry completely after 15-20 hours.

Then we take a paper utility knife and cut the paper layers into two halves.

Carefully remove the apple from the paper “shell”.

Coat the edges of the paper halves of the apple generously with glue and fold them together.

We coat the joint of the halves with glue and cover it with newspaper.

...

This way. And let it dry for three to four hours.

Smooth out any unevenness with fine-grained sandpaper.

And we begin to prepare for coloring. You can use any paints, but in this version, regular gouache is used.

We start coloring from the base of the apple stalk. We apply a mixture of yellow and green colors there.

The main color of an apple is dark red. All other colors organically complement it, adding as needed.

Using one-sided strokes we combine the colors, adding strokes of different colors over the entire area of the apple as needed, giving the apple a natural color.

We cut off the stem from a real apple and insert it into our paper apple.

With dark paint we draw the place of the apple ovary - the mark from the peduncle.

The papier-mâché apple is ready. For greater realism and added shine, you can coat it with clear varnish.

  • 2 sheets of colored double-sided paper with a density of 300 g/m2;
  • Printer;
  • scissors;
  • stationery knife;
  • cutting mat;
  • ruler;
  • double-sided tape/foam tape.

Step-by-step instructions with photos

Decorate a children's party or themed party with stunning paper apples made by you yourself! Undoubtedly, they will add a touch of fairy tale to your holiday! It will take you about 1 hour to cut, fold and glue the origami apple. The finished craft measures approximately 11 cm in height, width and depth at its widest point.

Step 1: Cut out the template

Download the templates provided below.

Apple template for paper cutting

Print five pieces from the template onto thick paper and cut them out carefully along a solid line.

Step 2: Make the folds

To do this, take a ruler and place it on one of the dotted lines on one edge of the workpiece. Fold the paper up and smooth the fold with your finger. Then move the ruler to the next dotted line.

Working in this mode, fold the paper up on all 5 templates along their dotted lines.

Step 3: Pick the Apple

Next, you need to use foam or regular tape to glue all 5 parts according to their serial numbers. Parts with triangular protrusions must be glued into parts with flat edges. The floppy disk icon indicates where to stick the tape.

Start with number 1 and stick number 1 on template B to number 1 on template A (as indicated in the diagram).

It is important that the edges are glued strictly in order (1,2,3) and with the transition from template A to template B, from B to C, from C to D and from D to E. You need to start with part A.

As you work, be sure to observe the outside of the apple model and make sure that its edges fit neatly and evenly to each other. You may notice that the paper pieces are shaped as if you were gluing an apple peel in a circle.

Step 4: Take a cutting

After you collect the origami apple, all you have to do is make the cutting. To do this, glue part No. 49 of template E (indicated by arrows) into a tetrahedron. After that, insert it into the hole on the apple so that it looks like an apple stem.

Be careful not to overdo it, otherwise the cutting will go too deep inside and you will have to remove it with tweezers or make a new one.

Master class “Modular origami - apple”

I would like to somehow diversify the atmosphere in my home, without special expenses. How to do it? Any interior will become cozier and more original if it is supplemented with homemade products. In this case, all kinds of handmade techniques come to our aid. These can easily include modular origami. Using this technique you can create crafts on any theme for any interior. Let's try to decorate the kitchen with these apples. Together with you we will make one apple. Having mastered its implementation, you can do the rest yourself, slightly changing the coloring.

For work we will need the following materials: - 7 sheets of orange paper; - 5 sheets of yellow paper; - a small piece of brown paper (twig); - and a small piece of green paper (leaf); - glue stick; - stationery knife or scissors.

We produce 16 modules from one A4 sheet. We first cut the sheet into 16 equal parts. From each we make a module (look at the photos): 1 - the basis for the module; 2 - fold in half lengthwise; 3 - fold in half across, unbend; 4 - fold in the form of an airplane to the fold line; 5 - turn over to the other side; 6 - bend the lower corners; 7 - bend the lower parts; 8 - bend it in half with the pockets facing out. Ready module.

For this apple, you need to make 112 orange and 76 yellow modules. The first and second rows - 10 orange modules each.

We take the outer corners and press in the middle, turning the workpiece inside out. This must be done carefully, holding the workpiece on all sides.

Sixth row. We continue to add modules, 3 more. By adding little by little, our apple smoothly expands upward. Total: 11 yellow, 13 orange.

Seventh row. 12 yellow, 12 orange modules.

Eighth row. Evenly reduce by 5 modules. Total: 10 yellow, 9 orange modules.

Ninth row. 9 yellow, 10 orange modules.

Tenth row. Evenly reduce by 5 modules. Total: 6 yellow, 8 orange.

Eleventh row. 7 yellow, 7 orange.

The apple is almost ready. All that was left was a twig and a leaf. Cut out a rectangular strip of about 6 by 4 cm from brown paper. Lubricate it on one side with glue. Roll it into a narrow tube.

The model origami apple is ready.

Like all souvenirs with monetary symbols, a rejuvenating apple made of coins attracts its owner - Money, Youth, Beauty and Health - to the house!

For this we need:

1. Unnecessary newspapers.

2. Any thread (I have wool mixture).

3. A small twig.

4. Leaf from artificial flowers.

5. Glue gun.

6. Coins of 10 kopecks.

7. Aerosol paint “gold”.

8. Glossy aerosol varnish.

Step one:

We take unnecessary newspapers and form a small lump of them, make the lump quite tight so that it does not fall in any places. You can, of course, take any ball from anything as a frame, but I concluded that newspapers are more economical. When the ball is formed, we begin to wrap it with thread. Wrap until the ball is smooth on all sides. It can be compressed and made into an even shape using thread tension. Here's how it happened:

Step two:

The frame is ready, now you need to decorate it with a twig and a leaf. The branch I have is a natural tree and the leaf is from artificial flowers. Use scissors to make a hole in the frame and use a glue gun to secure the twig and leaf in the hole. It turns out quite firmly, you can hold our souvenir by this tail.

Step three:

Now the main and important step is gluing coins onto our frame. To begin, place several coins in a circle around the twig and leaf, close to each other. Then we continue in a circle, turning the ball over to glue the remaining coins. And so we glue the entire ball, visually checking all the time whether the coins lie evenly and whether there are any gaps between them. It should be in a round shape. And another important point is the design of the bottom of the apple. It is necessary to arrange the coins so that the apple has a stable shape.

Step four:

Well, the most basic thing is done, the finishing touches remain. You need to cover the entire apple with gold spray paint. Apply several layers, dry well after each layer. Then we also apply two or three layers of aerosol gloss varnish. Be sure to dry everything well. Dries quickly. It’s very nice that this souvenir is inexpensive and takes little time to make. With a diameter of eight to ten centimeters, it looks perfect! It takes about 150 coins to make an apple. If you need to create a gift very quickly, then this is an ideal option! A great gift for the eighth of March! Thank you for your attention! I wish you, dear needlewomen, new ideas and creative success!
